Campaigning in Karhal, Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP should change its name to Bharatiya Jhagda Party because it spreads lies and causes friction and discord among the people.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has mounted a scathing attack on the BJP and alleged that the ruling party in Uttar Pradesh spreads lies and causes friction and discord among communities.

The BJP should change its name to Bharatiya Jhagda Party. They can do anything to win sympathy. They always lie and try to deceive people and cause strife,” said Akhilesh Yadav while addressing a public meeting in Karhal, from where he is contesting the UP Assembly polls.

Akhilesh Yadav was joined by his father and SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav in Karhal, which has long been a Samajwadi Party bastion. Akhilesh said he was confident that the people of Karhal would once again vote for the “cycle” (SP’s poll symbol) and ensure a massive victory for the party in UP.

He also accused the saffron party of betraying the people of the state by making false promises. “The BJP snatched away jobs and livelihoods. Steer clear of BJP’s conspiracies and machinations,” he said.

On the other hand, the SP will fulfill the expectations of the people by providing jobs to the unemployed and better amenities and prices to farmers, said Mulayam Singh.

Samajwadi Party jo kehti hai, who karti hai (delivers on its promises),” the former UP chief minister asserted.

Appreciating the large crowd that turned up at his rally, Mulayam Singh said it shows that people want the SP to win and form the next government in UP.
