After years of petitioning by homeowners, it all came down to a violent confrontation with a woman resident for the Noida Authority to take action against self-proclaimed BJP worker Shrikant Tyagi.
On Monday, a day after police brought in charges against Shrikant Tyagi under the Gangster Act, bulldozers tore down the illegal construction outside his house at the Grand Omaxe housing society in Noida’s Sector-93B.
The demolition comes a day after Tyagi’s supporters turned up at the society asking for the address of the woman who was abused and assaulted by the “BJP leader”, who is on the run after being booked by police for the attack.
