The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu today called upon large institutions and public sector organisations to strive towards sustainability in their operations by using renewable energy. John Kerry, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate will be in India from Sept. 12-14. A day after Ford announced the shut down of its Maraimalai Nagar (Chennai) factory, the Tamil Nadu government said that talks are on for another automobile major to take over the operations of the unit. This comes as a huge relief to about 2,600 workers.   “Talks are on between Ford and another automobile maker and some other companies too.
