NBCC bags Rs 3,200 crore project in Mumbai from Finance Ministry
State-owned construction firm NBCC said that it has bagged Rs 3,200 crore project from the Union Finance Ministry to develop a residential-cum-office complex in Mumbai. In a BSE filing, NBCC informed that it has got LOI (letter of intent) from Department of Customs and Excise for “planning, designing and construction of office complex and residential quarters at Wadala, Mumbai amounting to Rs 3,200 crore on self-revenue generation model”. State-owned power generator NTPC Ltd plans to secure around a third of its coal requirement through its own captive coal blocks by 2030, the company said in its annual report. VMC to provide houses to sanitation workers
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) would be providing homes to its sanitation workers in housing schemes meant for the economic weaker sections (EWS). The civic body has asked the workers to apply for such houses. After the success of the Smart City Challenge, the Union government is ready to introduce a similar technology competition to give fillip to the Housing for All programme. The competition – to be called Housing Challenge — would be conducted by states to choose the best and most cost-effective technology for each affordable housing project.
