Central Advisory Council set up for RERA implementation

The central government has set up a Central Advisory Council (CAC) to advice on matters concerning the implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2016. The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs will be the Chairperson of the council that will comprise of total 30 members.

The said CAC has been set up to ensure that proper protection is provided to home-buyers with right implementation of RERA across the country.

Apart from the chairperson, the council will have 8 other members from the central government including Niti Aayog CEO, Secretaries of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Department of Revenue, Economic Affairs, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion and Ministry of Corporate Affairs, showed a gazette notification from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
