Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of national unity, warning that division among Indians could lead to the nation’s downfall. Speaking at a rally in Agra after unveiling a statue of Rashtraveer Durgadas Rathore, CM Yogi referenced the recent political turmoil in Bangladesh, where former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee the country amid violent protests.
In his speech, CM Yogi stressed, “Nothing can be above the nation. And the nation will be empowered only when we are united. ‘Batenge to Katenge’ (If we are divided, we will be destroyed). You are seeing what is happening in Bangladesh. Those mistakes should not be repeated here. If we stay united, we will thrive; if we are divided, we will suffer.”
Earlier in the day, CM Yogi also inaugurated the Shri Krishna Janmotsav in Mathura and offered prayers at the Banke Bihari Temple. During the event, he extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, expressing his wishes for happiness, prosperity, and strength for the people to contribute to the vision of a developed India.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), CM Yogi conveyed his best wishes for the festival, praising Lord Krishna and praying for the well-being of all.
This message of unity comes at a time when political instability in neighboring Bangladesh serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the importance of staying united to ensure the nation’s strength and security.
