Shri Ram Janmabhoomi will be developed in Ayodhya on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Yogi Adityanath.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi will be developed in Ayodhya on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Dham. This was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Along with this, many proposals related to urban development have also been approved in the cabinet. The 12.94 km long road from Sahadatganj to Nayaghat in Ayodhya will be widened and strengthened. Rs 797.69 crore will be spent on this.

Urban Development Minister Arvind Sharma and Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh informed about the decision taken in the cabinet meeting in a press conference on Tuesday. Minister Jaiveer Singh said that a proposal has been passed in the cabinet regarding the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. At the same time, under the proposal of city development, three nagar panchayats, seven nagar palika parishads have been expanded and a new nagar panchayat has been constituted. Apart from this, the existence of one Nagar Panchayat and one Nagar Palika Parishad has been abolished.

Minister Jaiveer Singh said that a four-lane road would be constructed from Sahadatganj to Nayaghat road via Sugreev Fort to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi site. This proposal is on the lines of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. Under this, the shopkeepers and occupiers will be resettled. Apart from this, the road from Faizabad main road in Ayodhya district via Hanumangarhi to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi site will be widened and strengthened.

This plan includes a sewage system, power cable arrangement and other utilities. The target has been set to complete this work in two years.

At the same time, Minister Arvind Sharma said that in the previous cabinet, 18 new nagar panchayats were formed, the boundary of 18 was expanded and the boundary of two municipal councils was expanded. Today, when a new Nagar Panchayat was formed and two Nagar Panchayats have ceased to exist. In such a situation, now there will be a total of 751 municipal bodies. He said that the three nagar panchayats which were expanded include Khaga of Fatehpur and Nigohi of Shahjahanpur, Sonbhadra Nagar Panchayat of Sonbhadra. A total of seven municipal councils have been expanded including Anupshahr in Bulandshahr, Kairana in Shamli, Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar, Modinagar in Ghaziabad, Muradnagar and Loni. Along with this, Derwa Bazar of Pratapgarh district has been constituted as a new Nagar Panchayat. Apart from this, expanding the limits of Varanasi Municipal Corporation, Ramnagar Nagar Palika Parishad and Sujabad Nagar Panchayat have been added to it.

Minister Arvind Sharma said that the Yogi government has made a provision of Rs 500 crore for the newly created, newly expanded city panchayats, municipalities and municipal corporations.
