The issue said that, “DGCA invites EOIs (Expressions of Interest) from reputed consulting agencies to provide consultancy services required to execute the e-Governance for Civil Aviation (eGCA) Project.”
The aviation regulator aims to provide online services to its stakeholders like automated workflow, automatic generation of Management Information System (MIS) reports, online application verification, online approval, online audit and support functions amongst others. Under this project, the regulator will also create a central, electronic repository of all records and enable an integrated workflow across functions of different directorates. Noted, DGCA had lost its entire data set regarding safety and security of planes and pilots due to a server crash, in 2015.
