The Budget session of Parliament is all set to begin today. Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey 2021-22 and table her fourth straight Union Budget tomorrow with financial statements and tax proposals for fiscal year 2022-23.

Debates with an open during this budget session by the MPs could be a great opportunity. I hope all parties will hold talks with an open mind for India’s progress,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi said that the Covid pandemic has thrown up several challenges as well as opportunities for India.

The main Opposition party, Congress, has said it will reach out to like-minded parties to raise issues including farmers’ distress, China-India border row, Covid-19 relief, sale of Air India, etc. during the Budget session.
