Drunk man slaughters human instead of goat during animal sacrifice in Andhra Pradesh

The accused, Chalapathi, was inebriated at the time of the animal sacrifice and cut the throat of Suresh, the victim, who was holding the animal.

Aman was slaughtered during an animal sacrifice at Valasapalli in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district on Sunday, January 16. The incident occurred during the Sankrati celebrations.

Chalapathi, the accused, was supposed to carry out the animal sacrifice and cut the goat’s head. According to the police, Chalapathi was inebriated at the time of the sacrifice and cut the throat of Suresh, who was holding the animal.

The animal sacrifice was organised at the local Yellamma (patron goddess of Andhra Pradesh) temple.

Suresh, who was bleeding profusely, was rushed to Madanpelle government hospital where he was declared dead.

Chalapathi has been arrested by the police.
