BJP’s Khushbu Sundar condemned the latest rule by Delhi’s Jama Masjid administration, imposing a ban on the entry of girls and women visiting the holy place alone or in a group. Denouncing the new regulation which restricts only one gender from visiting the religious place, Sundar called out the ‘misogyny’.

The BJP’s National Executive Committee Member deemed the new order as ‘heights of hypocrisy’ while breaking down that even men can indulge in ‘improper acts’. “More than a woman does,” Sundar said.

Hitting out at the Masjid administration, Sundar asked, “Why this misogyny and rules only for women?”

DELHI JAMA MASJID’S NEW RULES FOR GIRLS/WOMEN

Sundar’s criticism surfaced shortly after the Delhi Jama Masjid’s administration issued an order implementing a ban on girls and women from entering the religious place without families or men of the family.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Jama Masjid’s public relation officer Sabiullah Khan said, “Women’s entry not banned. When women come alone-improper acts are done, and videos are shot… ban is to stop this. No restrictions on families/married couples. Making it a meeting point inapt for religious places.”
