The celebrations, held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, showcased spectacular performances from pop superstar Rihanna and renowned magician David Blaine, attracting around 1,200 guests from Silicon Valley, Bollywood, and beyond. Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and film icon Shah Rukh Khan were among the celebrities present, adding to the event’s glittering ambiance.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates attended with partner Paula Hurd.

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, who boasts an estimated fortune of $117 billion, serves as a director at Reliance, the conglomerate founded by his grandfather. At just 28 years old, Anant is poised to continue his family’s legacy.

Although Anant and his fiancée Radhika Merchant are not set to marry until July, the pre-wedding festivities left no stone unturned, featuring a staggering 500 dishes crafted by approximately 100 chefs. Guests were treated to a culinary extravaganza, with a planning document detailing the elaborate arrangements.

The Jamnagar airport, usually handling fewer than 10 flights a day, experienced a remarkable surge in activity, with about 130 flights arriving for the occasion. To accommodate the elite attendees, chartered jets from New Delhi and Mumbai were organized, alongside the provision of hair stylists, makeup artists, and drapists.

Adding a philanthropic touch to the lavish affair, the Reliance Foundation employed local weavers to create a “tapestry of dreams” for the wedding, while visually impaired artisans were commissioned to craft candles for the guests. A new Hindu temple complex is also being built specifically for the occasion, set to open to the public after the celebrations.

In a gesture of community spirit, the Ambani family hosted a communal dinner for over 50,000 villagers, reinforcing their commitment to local engagement amid the grandeur of their celebrations.

As images from the festivities continue to circulate, the Ambani pre-wedding bash stands as a testament to the intersection of wealth, celebrity, and culture in modern India.
