In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Cricket, India will take on the USA at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York this evening. Both teams are entering the match undefeated in their previous two outings.
The Men in Blue secured wins against Pakistan and Ireland, while the USA triumphed over Canada and Pakistan in their previous encounters. India sits comfortably atop the points table, boasting a superior net run rate, while the USA stands second.
Two more matches are scheduled for today. Australia will take on Namibia at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, while Sri Lanka will face Nepal at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Florida.
Earlier, Pakistan defeated Canada by 7 wickets at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, US. Pakistan successfully chased down the target of 107 runs, while losing three wickets in 17.3 overs. Mohammad Rizwan remained not out, scoring 53 off 53, while Babar Azam made 33 runs from 33 balls.
Put in to bat first, Canada scored 106 runs for 7, in the stipulated 20 overs. Opener Aaron Johnson made 52 runs from 44 balls for Canada, while for Pakistan, Mohammad Amir and Haris Rauf took two wickets each. Amir was adjudged the Player of the Match. This marks Pakistan’s first victory in the tournament.
