Susan Wojcicki, one of the most prominent women in the world of tech, has announced that she will be stepping down from her role. It was out of Wojcicki’s garage that Google operated in its initial days. She rented her garage for Page and Brin to start Google, she eventually became an employee of Google a year later. She joined the team early as a marketing manager, rising through the ranks to become one of the most powerful women in Silicon Valley.

Her letter explains that she will be supporting Mohan through the transition and will continue to work with YouTube teams, coaching team members, and will meet with creators. Over the long term, Wojcicki “agreed with Sundar to take on an advisory role across Google and Alphabet” where she will offer guidance and counselling across Google’s businesses.
