The IndiaAI Mission, approved in March 2024 with an outlay of Rs 10,371.92 crore, is a significant step toward creating a scalable AI computing ecosystem. Through the IndiaAI Innovation Centre, India aims to develop Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) tailored to sector-specific challenges. Additionally, the IndiaAI Datasets Platform will provide startups and researchers with high-quality, non-personal datasets, enabling them to create AI applications designed specifically for India’s unique needs.
