BJP leader Sambit Patra hit out at Rahul Gandhi over his address during the Congress rally on Sunday. Sambit Patra said the ‘Halla Bol’ demonstration was really a ‘Parivaar Bachao Andolan.’
BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra launched a scathing attack against Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi on Sunday following the Congress’s swipe at government over inflation and price rise. Sambit Patra alleged that ‘Mehngai par Halla Bol rally’ was really ‘Parivar Bachao Andolan’.
The Gandhis feel they are completely surrounded and to save themselves, their identity, they have started this rally,” Sambit Patra said at a press conference.
Hitting out at the Gandhis, Sambit Patra said, “Rahul Gandhi’s party is just a party of two. Rahul ji and Sonia ji don’t share the Congress with its own members. Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are playing musical chair for the party presidential post, no third person can even become the party chief. And they are commenting on the nation,” the BJP leader said.
Calling it “unfortunate”, Sambit Patra said, “Today, a leader of the opposition, an MP, has made unfortunate statements. Rahul Gandhi said media and judiciary is sold. It is astonishing the language Rahul Gandhi used today.”
Demanding action against Rahul Gandhi, the BJP leader urged the Supreme Court to take the Congress leader’s remark as a contempt of court.
“Judiciary should take suo moto cognizance of Rahul Gandhi’s statements about judiciary being compromised,” Sambit Patra said.
