During an appearance on Rajat Sharma’s popular TV show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, actor-director and newly elected BJP Member of Parliament, Kangana Ranaut, criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he is “always trying to divide India.” Kangana claimed that Rahul Gandhi has been asking for American intervention in Indian affairs while abroad and suggested that he should undergo a drug test.

Reflecting on her first experience watching Rahul Gandhi speak in the Lok Sabha, Kangana described it as bizarre. She noted that he brought images of various gods, claiming they used the Congress hand symbol as if they were endorsing his party, and then made statements like “I belong to Shivji Ki Baraat.” She expressed concern over his behavior, suggesting a drug test might be necessary.

When questioned about her earlier remarks describing Rahul Gandhi as “bitter” and “poisonous,” Kangana doubled down, stating, “That’s what the entire nation is saying.” She accused him of attempting to divide the country along lines of caste, economy, and borders.

On Her Upcoming Movie ‘Emergency’

Kangana Ranaut, who portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her upcoming film ‘Emergency’, discussed the movie and the complex legacy of Indira Gandhi. She described Indira as a leader who was both greatly loved and criticized, drawing a parallel to the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi is viewed today. Kangana emphasized that the film explores the duality of Indira Gandhi’s actions during the Emergency, portraying her as a leader who, while fighting for the country, also made controversial decisions.

When asked if Rahul Gandhi would watch her movie, Kangana humorously responded, “If he goes home and watches Tom and Jerry, how can he understand?” She further criticized his perceived entitlement, saying, “He will have to cast off such a mindset, otherwise he will be reduced to a cartoon.”

On Her Controversial Remarks About the Farmers’ Protest

Kangana also addressed her controversial comments about the farmers’ protest, where she previously stated that “bodies were found and gangrapes took place” at the protest sites. Clarifying her stance, Kangana said her remarks were directed at anti-social elements, not the farmers themselves. She insisted that her comments were misunderstood and that the protest had been hijacked by these elements.

She noted her own connection to farming, mentioning her family’s background and her experiences growing up in a farming community. Kangana criticized the anti-CAA protestors at Shaheen Bagh, alleging they were the same individuals seen at the farmers’ protest sites, and claimed to have video evidence supporting her assertions.

On Criticism from BJP Leadership

When asked about BJP’s central leadership issuing a statement distancing themselves from her remarks on the farmers’ protest, Kangana said, “It’s only been two months since I became a politician. We do get party guidelines, but it was overblown by the media saying that I was sternly reprimanded.” She expressed confidence in the BJP’s support for her, stating that people in the party love her and are sincere in their intentions.

Kangana Ranaut continues to be a polarizing figure, unafraid to speak her mind on controversial topics, whether in her new political role or as a public figure in the entertainment industry.
