UP election 2022: Referring to a letter written by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Harnath Singh, SP chief Akhilesh said that Lord Krishna came in his dreams to tell him that SP is going to form the government in Uttar Pradesh.

In an apparent dig to the Bharatiya Janata Party

, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said that Lord Krishna “regularly appears in his dreams” to say that the SP will form the government in Uttar Pradesh after the Assembly polls this year.

He was referring to the BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Harnath Singh’s letter to the party’s national President JP Nadda, urging him to nominate Yogi Adityanath from the Mathura seat, as Lord Krishna had told him in his dream that the UP CM would be successful from that constituency. Yogi Adityanath, however, has maintained that he would contest from wherever the party wants him to

Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said: “Baba [Yogi Adityanath] has failed. No one can save him.” “Every single night Lord Krishna appears in my dreams and tells me that we shall form the government in UP,” he added.

Yadav was elected as an MP to the Lok Sabha in 2019 from the Azamgarh constituency.

The BJP and the SP have been engaged in an intense war of words as the Assembly polls approach. The two parties have been attacking each other on a host of issues such as law and order, Ram Temple, Piyush Jain case, mafia raj, etc.
