M-tech Mobile’s CSR arm, SUIT has embarked on a mission to provide basic education to 1000 underprivileged children in the next 2 years. To achieve this goal, it plans to open 30 sanskarshalas or informal education centres and expand its footprint to more states in addition to the current states of UP, Bihar and Odisha.

SUIT which stands for – Societal Upliftment Initiative Trust, was established in the year 2010 with the objective of playing a constructive role in the upliftment of society through basic education which is an effective catalyst for betterment of underprivileged families. Over the years, it has witnessed enormous success with 720 underprivileged children educated and empowered, 22 sanskarshalas initiated and 150 programs conducted on education, health and hygiene. Some of the programs conducted include – Community MobilizationSpeeches and Drawing, Learn While Playing, Intellectual Test, Sports Equipment Distribution, School Uniform Sponsorship, Running Evening Centres, Rural Workshops on Hygiene and many more among others.

SUIT operates through its network of implementing partners which many be NGO’s or schools and are selected through a rigorous screening process to ensure competency , capacity and compatibility of ideologies. Once the implementing partner has been selected, SUIT receives profiles of candidates and carefully scrutinizes every profile to select eligible and deserving candidates. It provides financial assistance and regular counselling which help the children in securing basic education. SUIT conducts field surveys from time to time to understand the factors behind children not pursuing education and takes corrective action. Community mobilization programs are carried out to help parents understand the importance of education, spread awareness and remove any stigmas in their mind. Timely school visits are also done to counsel and motivate students about the importance of education and ensure proper implementation of the program. Volunteers form the backbone of any social campaign and SUIT has grown its current volunteer base to over 800 plus.

Commenting on the development, Vivek Agarwal, Co-founder, SUIT, said, “At SUIT we have always believed that upliftment of society and poverty eradication can be achieved by educating the young and empowering them. With this sole mission in mind, we hope to transform more than 1000 lives in the next 2 years by providing basic education through our 30 sanskarshalas. We have come a long way since our inception with many milestones to our credit. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our donors/sponsors, NGO partners and SUIT family members for their continued support as we embark on the next phase of our journey.”
