“Mahakumbh Live: Over 1.3 Crore Devotees Take Holy Dip at Sangam on Magh Purnima”

Mahakumbh Mela Live: The Mahakumbh, being held after 12 years, will continue till February 26. More than 40 crore people, many from abroad, have taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.

Mahakumbh 2025 Live: The Mahakumbh 2025, which began in Prayagraj with chants of bhajans and slogans on Paush Poornima, witnessed a see of devotees on each day. This Mahakumbh is being held after 12 years, although seers claim that the celestial alignments and cosmic combinations for the event are occurring after 144 years, making the occasion even more auspicious. As Mahakumbhenters is at its final stretch, devotees have gathered in Prayagraj for the holy snan on the Magh Purnima.

Prayagraj DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar appealed to the devotees coming to Mahakumbh to not pay heed to rumours and only follow the official information. He said, “I have earlier said and saying it again that people should not pay any heed to the rumours. People should only follow the official version of the administration. Railway operation is smooth. The Sangam station, which is near to the mela area, used to close earlier as well, rest operation at all the stations are normal. As far as talks of sealing of Prayagraj border is concerned, the anti-social elements are spreading the rumour, it is not true, it has never been sealed. Crores of people are taking the holy dip. All the teams are managing properly. They are helping people in terms of food, guidance to ghats. Everything is being facilitated, shuttle buses to provide last-mile travel to the ghat are operating. There is no decision on extending the Kumbh after February 26. People should not believe in any rumour.”

Prayagraj DIG Vaibhav Kumar said, “Today is Maghi Purnima and more than one crore people have taken the dip. Our arrangements are quite good and police deployment is there at all places. Crowd is moving comfortably. Our SOPs are being followed.”

CM Yogi has extended wishes on the auspicious Magh Purnima. In a post on X, he said, “Hearty congratulations to all the devotees and residents of the state on the holy bathing festival Magh Purnima! Heartiest greetings to all the revered saints, religious leaders, Kalpvasis and devotees who have come for holy bath in the sacred Triveni in Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj today!

DIG Prayagraj Vaibhav Krishna said, ” On the occasion of #MaghPurnima, devotees are arriving here in large numbers, for ‘snan’…our preparations are really good…everything is under control…parking, traffic diversions, everything is activated…devotees are following the rules and regulations”
