Let there be peace in the world, said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as she inaugurated the Kolkata Christmas Festival 2022 on Wednesday.
While speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mamata Banerjee spoke about the role of peace in society.
“Let there be peace. Peace must exist in the world. We celebrate all festivals. We don’t divide, but unite,” said Mamata Banerjee.
At the Christmas festival, Banerjee also recalled her experience of visiting Goa. “I went to Goa and visited St Xavier’s church, it gave me goosebumps,” she said.
On every Christmas Eve, Mamata Banerjee visits churches in Kolkata to participate in mass. She said that she would be visiting the church this year as well.
