“Besides providing routine health check-ups to students, the clinics will also offer counselling services to address issues related to the mental well-being of children,” he added.
“Every six months, the students will undergo a health check up,” said the deputy chief minister further.
The new project of setting up health clinics in schools is along the lines of Delhi government’s flagship mohalla clinic.
However, these clinics will be operational only during school hours and will be used exclusively by the student a that school.
One ‘School Health Clinic Assistant’ or nurse, one psychologist, and one multi-task worker will be staffed at each school.
