Vikraman, Director (HR), NLCIL and other VIPs participated during the Bhoomi Puja event, conducted for delsilting the Kuruchi lake in Coimbatore City. The work is going to be executed by NLC India Ltd., under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Founder, Isha Foundation has requested NLCI to take up the project of revitalising the Kurichi Lake under its CSR initiatives by desilting & deepening of 280 Acres of the lake area.
Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya in his address informed the gathering that NLCIL is providing 14 Million Litres of water per day from NLCIL mines and ten times of the same for irrigation of surrounding villages.
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, in his address, thanked NLCIL management for coming forward for a great social cause of desilting the Kuruchi Lake, which is going to benefit people of Coimbatore and help preserve the biodiversity.
Shri S.P. Velumani, Minister praised NLCIL management for its utmost priority in caring the needs of the public, specially for providing water to Chennai City for reducing water crisis of the people and taking up several projects for the well being of public.
