PM Modi attends Pravasi Bhartiya Divas event in Indore, 3,500 NRIs from 70 countries present

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas event in Indore today on Monday. As many as 3,500 NRIs from 70 countries are participating in this conference.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday reached Madhya Pradesh’s Indore to attend the three-day Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention. MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan inaugurated the program on Sunday. This convention will continue till January 10.

President Draupadi Murmu is also scheduled to conclude this conference on Tuesday (January 10). The President will also honor NRIs in the concluding session. As many as 3500 NRIs from 70 countries are participating in this conference.

The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention is being held at Brilliant Convention Center. After reaching the venue, Prime Minister Modi welcomed Suriname President Chandrika Prasad Santokhi and Guyana President Dr Mohammed Irfan Ali in Indore.

The main function began with the theme song of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar welcomed the guests. According to the schedule, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will give a welcome speech after that. After the speech of the two heads of state guests, a special postage stamp will be unveiled from the stage of the ceremony.
