The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has received mixed response from all over India after it was passed in the Parliament.
Many places witnessed anti CAA campaign protest marches with people flocking down the streets to support the march.
As a response to this uproar, PM Modi on Monday initiated a Twitter campaign in support of CAA.
“#India Supports CAA because CAA is about giving Citizenship to persecuted refugees and not about taking anyone’s citizenship away”, read a tweet from PM Modi’s official personal website.
“Check out this hashtag in Your Voice section on Volunteer module on NaMo app for content graphics, videos and more. Share and show your support for CAA…” Modi said in another tweet.
