“BJP government freed Muslim women from triple talaq. When Muslim women started openly supporting Modi government, opponents got anxious. But we stand with every Muslim woman,” PM Modi said, speaking the same day that Uttar Pradesh began voting in the first phase of the Assembly election.
At the rally, PM Modi attacked Opposition parties over ‘dynastic politics’. He said in Saharanpur, “Previous governments in Uttar Pradesh never saw beyond their families. They did not care for you.”
“If they were in power during the pandemic, the vaccines would have been sold off somewhere on the way and would not have reached you,” he added.

Singing praises of the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi said, “BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is very important to ensure the poor continue to get houses and free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh at good hospitals.”
“For money to continue to reach farmers’ accounts directly, BJP government is necessary in UP. For the poor to get ration during the pandemic, BJP is necessary,” he said.
“The BJP’s manifesto for UP polls is one of public welfare. The double engine government has done a lot in the state,” he added. He stated that the BJP government in UP had built roads to increase connectivity and claimed it had done more for sugarcane farmers than any other government.
PM Modi urged the audience, “Vote for the one that will keep our sisters and daughters free from fear. Vote for the one who will keep UP riot-free.”
The Uttar Pradesh election is being held in seven phases in February and March. The votes will be counted on March 10.
