In this unprecedented situation around 35 people in Noida had to spend three days in the COVID-19 ward of a hospital after they were wrongly tested of Coronavirus by private labs.
According to news reports, the Noida administration has sent notices to these labs. Further, one lab has also been charged in a First Information Report filed by the police.
These 35 people had complained of mild fever, cough and cold. On advice of their respective doctors, they took Coronavirus tests, a probe into the matter revealed. Their results came positive and they were admitted to government isolation facilities. A retest was done and their samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology this time. However, all the 35 tested negative. They have since been discharged, but are being kept under watch.
