The Honorable President of India and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Smt Droupadi Murmu, visited the Headquarters of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) in Shimla today. Smt Murmu acknowledged that ARTRAC has an all-encompassing role, which includes designing concepts of warfare, resource development for the Indian Army, and widespread engagements with Friendly Foreign Countries and Sister Services. She noted that ARTRAC is “a critical gear in the path to Military Glory, Atmanirbharta and Viksit Bharat.”
The President further observed that through its 32 premier training establishments, ARTRAC vitalises the domain of professionalism in the Indian Army, giving it a unique perspective into the art and science of warfighting.
Exchange of Views on Strengthening National Security
The President also exchanged views with Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, in the presence of the Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh, on training methodologies in the Indian Army aimed at making the nation secure and strong. Discussions focused on contemporary challenges and adapting training paradigms to future warfare requirements.
