In his post, PM Modi remarked:
"Warm greetings to the people of Gujarat on the special occasion of Gujarat Day. This day is a celebration of the rich history, vibrant culture and remarkable spirit of Gujarat. The state has made an outstanding contribution to India's progress."
The Prime Minister specifically praised the dynamic and enterprising nature of the people of Gujarat, acknowledging their role in driving innovation and economic growth. He expressed confidence in the state’s future, adding:

Gujarat Day is observed annually on May 1st to mark the establishment of the state in 1960 following the division of the bilingual Bombay State into Gujarat and Maharashtra. This year’s celebrations come amid various developmental milestones achieved by the state in infrastructure, renewable energy, and industrial growth.
PM Modi, who served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014, has often credited the state’s people and work ethic for his governance model. His message has been widely shared by BJP leaders and citizens, triggering a wave of patriotic and cultural posts across social media.
