India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, who has faced frequent selection snubs despite his consistent performances, has recently addressed his situation. Known for his role as the captain of the Rajasthan Royals and his potential as a top-order batsman, Samson has often been overlooked by selectors, including for major tournaments like the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup 2023. He was also named in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad but did not get a chance to play.

During a recent event, Samson shared his perspective on the matter. He expressed that while he acknowledges the challenges of being frequently left out, he remains focused on the bigger picture and the success of the Indian team.

“I will just go and play whenever they select me. That’s it! End of the day, our team is doing well,” Samson said. “I am the kind of person who believes in a higher purpose. I just try to take things positively under controllable circumstances and put up the efforts.”

Samson’s comments reflect his dedication and positive attitude despite the challenges of inconsistent selection. His focus remains on contributing whenever given the opportunity, while maintaining a supportive stance towards the team’s overall success.
