Former Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has slammed the Uttar Pradesh government over the Lakhimpur incident further alleging that “the BJP government was anti-farmer”.
“The BJP workers crushed and killed the farmers with their vehicles. This government is anti-farmer, manure-stealer, and is behind the rise of prices of pesticides,” Akhilesh Yadav alleged.
He claimed that there will be a regime change in the state soon.
The SP leader was addressing the ‘Vijay Rath Yatra’ ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022. He further went on to claim that “Fake Baba will be removed soon”.
Levelling accusations against the Adityanath government, he said, “This government has cheated the public. Under this government, inflation has increased, unemployment has increased, corruption has increased, crime has increased, law and order have collapsed”.
Meanwhile, while interacting with reporters in Kanpur Dehat district, Akhilesh informed that in the upcoming Assembly election, the Samajwadi Party will fight in alliance with the small parties. “We will not ally with any national party,” he added.
Akhilesh Yadav also expressed confidence that his party can win 400 assembly seats in the upcoming 2022 state assembly election. “Seeing the disappointment against the BJP govt, (it seems) that people of Uttar Pradesh can make our party win 400 seats in upcoming 2022 polls,” he said, as quoted by ANI.
In reference to the inauguration of an international airport in Kushinagar district scheduled to be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 20, the former Chief Minister claimed that the airport was built by the Samajwadi Party government and BJP is trying to take credit for it.
“The airport which is being inaugurated has been built by the Samajwadi Party. Changing colours, putting one’s name on another’s work. This has started a new culture in BJP’s politics,” the SP chief alleged.
In the 2017 Assembly election, the BJP won a landslide victory winning 312 Assembly seats in the 403-member assembly. SP bagged 47 seats, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) won 19 while Congress managed to win only seven seats.
