Led by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-political) and joined by the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha along with other farmer outfits, the “Insaaf March” echoed demands for a fair and thorough investigation into the incident, highlighting the imperative of justice for Kaur.

Marching from Gurdwara Amb Sahib to the Mohali SP office, the protestors navigated the streets under the watchful gaze of security personnel, adamant in their call for transparency and accountability in the handling of the case. Speaking to the media, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher reiterated the need for an impartial probe, emphasizing the significance of discerning the sequence of events leading to the alleged altercation. Pandher’s impassioned plea resonated with the gathered crowd, underscoring the unwavering support for Constable Kaur and the assertion of her rights in the face of adversity.

In addition to demanding justice for Kaur, the protestors also took aim at Kangana Ranaut, condemning what they perceived as her provocative statements targeting the people of Punjab.
