Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar today announced the revocation of AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s suspension from the Upper House of Parliament. During a session in the House, Mr. Dhankhar stated that Sanjay Singh, who was suspended on 24th July last year, has had his suspension lifted following the findings of the Committee of Privileges.

The Rajya Sabha Committee on Privileges presented its 77th and 78th reports yesterday, addressing the pending matters against Mr. Singh. The Committee found Sanjay Singh guilty of breaching the privilege of the Council in all cases. However, the Committee also noted that the Member had already endured sufficient punishment for his transgressions.
Revocation of Suspension
Citing Rules 202 and 266 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Dhankhar announced that the suspension of Sanjay Singh has been revoked, effective from yesterday. This decision allows Mr. Singh to resume his attendance in Parliament.
