Hyderabad, July 24, 2023….Techies donated blood to celebrate KTR’s 47th Birthday.  Over seven hundred techies of IT Hub in Hyderabad, the IT Capital of India took part in a day-long blood donation camp held at Divyashree NSL IT park Behind – Raidurgam Police Station, Khajaguda in Hyderabad.

The entire event was organised under the aegis of the Telangana Facilities Management Council (TFMC) in collaboration with Divyashree NSL  Infra and Midas Project.

The Blood Donation camp was inaugurated by Mr Satyanarayana Mathala, President of TFMC and Mr DVS Sudhakar, General Manager, Operations of Divyashree NSL IT Park.

Giving details, Mr Satyanarayana Mathala, President of TFMC said nearly 30,000 employees work in the IT towers in Divyasree IT Park and we hoped that a minimum of 1000 techies would donate blood. Expectedly the turnout was good. Over 700 people donated blood.  What is more interesting was that many security staff and other supporting staff enthusiastically came forward to donate blood along with IT Employees, said Mr Satya Mathala.

The camp began at 11 am and continued till 6 pm. We are organizing this program under an initiative called “Gift a Smile”. The camp was organised in collaboration with the Red Cross. A total of 5 doctors with 40 nursing staff will support this initiative, DVS Sudhakar added. The camp was organised at two places in Divyashree NSL Infra, he said

It was a unique and purposeful celebration of a political leader, who transformed the IT Industry canvass in the last few years, Satya added.

Facilities Management is the professional service that supports the functionality, safety, and sustainability of buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and real estate. It is a great way for facilities management professionals and techies to celebrate a birthday by donating blood.

Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person – the gift of life. A decision to donate blood can save a life, or even several if your blood is separated into its components, Satya added.

It is a win-win for everyone. Many patients get benefitted from the birthday of a leader. It is a good way of celebrating a birthday he added

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than by donating blood so that someone else can celebrate theirs in a similar fashion. This will help more people to come forward and donate blood voluntarily. We’ve created this Birthday Challenge so that no one should die for want of blood.

Everybody has it, everybody needs it. But not many are coming forward to donate blood.

Let people donate blood on the birthday/s of their favourite leaders so that a good amount of blood is available in blood banks. Every minute, second, someone somewhere needs blood, Satya shared
