Former Telangana Health Minister and BJP MLA Eatala Rajender has been placed under house arrest ahead of a planned visit to meet state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Rajender along with MLAs T Raja Singh and Raghunandan Rao were scheduled to visit Karimnagar to meet party chief and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar. MLA Sanjay Kumar is under detention following protests against the transfer of government teachers and staff.
The protest was against a state government order regarding the introduction of a zonal system in allocation of jobs.
According to reports, a large contingent of police reached the residence of Eatala Rajender and placed him under house arrest. (MANISH)
