Thousands of Pilgrims Depart for Amarnath Cave Shrine from Jammu Base Camp

In a remarkable display of devotion, another batch of 4,132 pilgrims departed from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in Jammu, heading towards the Kashmir Valley to undertake the sacred pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave Shrine. The pilgrims set off early this morning in a convoy of 151 vehicles.

This group comprised 2,872 men, 1,168 women, 18 children, 68 sadhus, and 6 sadhvis (female sadhus). At 3:04 AM, 1,808 pilgrims left for the Baltal base camp, while 2,324 pilgrims departed for the Pahalgam base camp at 3:54 AM, from where they will continue their journey to the holy cave.

In a separate departure, another batch of 4,875 pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in Jammu for the Kashmir Valley. This larger group set off in 162 vehicles early this morning.

This batch included 3,464 men, 1,333 women, 14 children, 57 sadhus, and 7 sadhvis. At 3:05 AM, 1,918 pilgrims departed for the Baltal base camp, and at 3:50 AM, 2,957 pilgrims left for the Pahalgam base camp, where they will continue their pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave Shrine.

These coordinated departures underscore the significant number of devotees undertaking the pilgrimage, showcasing the spiritual fervor and dedication of the participants.
