Two PCS officers suspended in UP, Yogi government took action in the case of giving land lease to ineligible persons

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has suspended two PCS officers in the case of giving land lease to ineligible persons in Hardoi against the rules. These include ADM Judicial Farrukhabad Swati Shukla and SDM Etah Pratit Tripathi. Principal Secretary of the Appointment Department M Devraj has issued orders to suspend both the officers on the basis of the report of the DM of Hardoi.

Two PCS officers have been suspended in the case of giving land lease to ineligible persons in Hardoi against the rules. These include ADM Judicial Farrukhabad Swati Shukla and SDM Etah Pratit Tripathi. They are accused of giving lease of agricultural land to 71 ineligible persons against the rules during their posting in Hardoi. Both have been attached to the Revenue Council.

Principal Secretary of the Appointment Department M Devraj has issued orders to suspend both the officers on the basis of the report of the DM of Hardoi On the basis of this, orders were issued to suspend both the officers. Further investigation in this matter has now been given to the Divisional Commissioner of Lucknow. This matter is from the year 2022 to May 2023 in the village panchayat Faridapur of Hardoi Sadar Tehsil. Here more than 150 bighas of agricultural land was leased. The investigation found that those who were given lease of agricultural land already had land.

Allegations found correct in investigation

When the DM of Hardoi got the matter investigated, the allegations were found correct. The DM dismissed all these leases in his court and suspended the Revenue Inspector and Lekhpal after being found guilty in the investigation. The DM of Hardoi had sent a letter to the Appointment Department for suspension against the then SDM Swati Shukla and Pratit Tripathi after being found guilty in this case. The government has suspended both the officers on the basis of the DM’s report.

Manoj Kumar Srivastava gets VRS
The Appointment Department has granted voluntary retirement to Manoj Kumar Srivastava, PCS officer of the year 2018 batch. He was posted as Additional District Magistrate Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Banda. He had sought VRS from the Appointment Department citing health reasons. The Appointment Department has accepted it and granted him VRS.
