Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday inaugurated a 100-bedded Employees State Insurance Corporation hospital in Odisha’s Angul.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday inaugurated a 100-bedded Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital at Industrial Town Angul in Odisha in the presence of Minister of State for Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli.
“The inauguration of the ESIC hospital aims to strengthen the health infrastructure and provide affordable and quality healthcare to over three lakh people in Angul and Dhenkanal districts in the state,” Pradhan said.
Odisha is one of the leading states in the registration of workers on the e-labor portal. According to the data, 27 crore workers in the country and 1.24 crore workers in Odisha are registered with the e-labor portal.
Meanwhile, a sub-regional office of the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESIC) was inaugurated in Odisha’s Jharsuguda on Wednesday.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the office from Angul through virtual mode. In Jharsuguda, Lok Sabha MP from Bargarh Suresh Pujari, was also present at the event.
The new office will benefit 1.75 lakh ESIC members in Jharsuguda and 13 other districts of Western Odisha.
