UP Assembly Elections 2022: The BJP in its party manifesto for Uttar Pradesh promises Rs 5000 crore for renewal of sugar mills, MSP for wheat & paddy crops among other things.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released its party manifesto for Uttar Pradesh ahead of the first phase of polling for the Assembly election on February 10.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the party in Lucknow. He was accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other party functionaries.

Amit Shah said the ‘Sankalp Patra’ was prepared after considering over 2 crore suggestions.

He said there was a plan to invest Rs 10 lakh crores in Uttar Pradesh. On jobs, he said the target is to generate more than 3 crore employment and self-employment in the next 5 years.

Among the host of promises, the party promised free electricity to all farmers in five years. It promised a Rs 5000-crore renewal plan for sugar mills in the state.

Also, the BJP said it will provide wheat and paddy at MSP in five years. The party promised to raise the pension of senior citizens and for the disabled to Rs 1500 per month.
