Vodafone organises safety session for women students

Vodafone has organized a session on Women safety & security for the students of Arya Kanya Pathshala PG college in Khurja. This was a one of its kind initiative by Vodafone for taking a step forward for Women safety.

 

The session held in Arya Kanya Pathshala PG college in Khurja was on Women safety which discussed about the Vodafone Sakhi product and its benefits which enables users to conveniently recharge their mobile phones, without sharing their mobile numbers with retailers, emergency calling on Zero balance, etc followed by a key note for the students by the College principle Dr. Shashi Prabha Tyagi. Vodafone is planning to organize similar sessions in prominent colleges of UP West & Uttarakhand as part of its Vodafone Sakhi campaign.

 

Vodafone India had recently introduced an innovative service ‘Vodafone Sakhi Pack’ for subscribers in UP West & Uttarakhand. The service was launched in the presence of Smt. Rekha Arya, Hon’ble Minister – Women’s Welfare and Child Development and Shri Dilip Kumar Ganta – Business Head, Vodafone UP West Circle. Vodafone Sakhi is a free of cost service, which enables users to conveniently recharge their mobile phones, without sharing their mobile numbers with retailers. 

 

To avail the Vodafone Private Recharge option, a customer needs to send a toll free SMS – ‘PRIVATE’ – to 12604 which allows subscribers to make a Private Recharge through an OTP code, without sharing mobile number. This OTP can also be used for all recharges done over a 24 hour period.

 

The Emergency calling feature enables seamless connectivity with 10 minutes of calling even with Zero balance in their phone. A bonus feature is FREE Health Tips for the first 90 days. Customers receive a welcome call from the IVR in their local dialect, explaining product features& customer support details.

 

‘Vodafone Sakhi’ will be available across UP (W) and Uttarakhand. The offer has been affordably priced, starting from Rs 52 only, to cater to women from all socio-economic backgrounds.
