Speaking at a poll rally in UP’s Muzaffarnagar, Yogi Adityanath asked supporters whether they wanted a government of “curfews” or a government of “kanwar yatras”.
Yogi Adityanath on Monday addressed multiple physical and virtual rallies to canvas on behalf of BJP candidates ahead of the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Speaking at a poll rally in Muzaffarnagar district, Yogi Adityanath said the upcoming UP elections are a fight for “all or nothing”.
He went further to ask BJP supporters whether they want a government of “curfews” or a government of “kanwar yatras”. The statement comes less than 24 hours after Yogi Adityanath said the UP Assembly polls are now a fight of “90 per cent vs 10 per cent”.
Taking aim at the Samajwadi Party, Yogi Adityanath alleged that riots, curfews and exodus of locals were common occurrences before the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh.
The UP Chief Minister also said during his public meeting in Bijnor that SP leader Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Jayant Chaudhary will not need to “visit any hill stations” after counting day.
His remarks are being seen as a response to Akhilesh Yadav’s statement where he asked Yogi Adityanath whether the UP CM is a “compressor”. Yadav’s remarks were in response to Yogi Adityanath’s statement that he would “douse the fire within Akhilesh Yadav”.
