Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is moving through Haryana and will enter Delhi on December 24 via Uttar Pradesh. Here’s the schedule for the national capital and onward journey.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra kicked off from Kanyakumari on September 7 and has traversed across states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

The yatra entered Haryana on December 21 from the Mundaka border in Nuh district. As per information, the first phase of the yatra in Haryana will conclude on December 23.

After completing more than 2,000 kilometres, the foot march is all set to enter the national capital on December 24.

The padayatra will start near the Badarpur Metro station in Delhi and, from there, the yatris will head towards Jairam Ashram at Ashram Chowk. The first phase of the march reportedly will be 16 km long.

Later, around 1.30 pm, they will continue their journey from Jairam Ashram and traverse Mathura Road, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, India Gate, Tilak Marg, ITO, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg and Anagpal Thomas Circle.

The yatris will take a break at Anagpal Thomas Circle, then resume their journey visiting Rajghat, Shanti Van, Shakti Sthal, and Veer Bhumi. Reportedly, they will take intermittent breaks at Netaji Subhash Marg and Lal Qila.

As per information, actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan and DMK MP Kanimozhi, along with other MPs from the opposition, will join Rahul Gandhi in the yatra in Delhi.

Congress leader KC Venugopal carried out a preparations review meeting at the party headquarters in Delhi.

After the show of strength in Delhi, the Bharat Jodo Yatra will take a break for nine days and will resume the foot march on January 3. After the break, the yatra will head towards Punjab and finally Jammu and Kashmir.

On being asked about the break of nine days, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh recently told India Today, “This is because the containers will be repaired and prepared for the harsh winter in the north. Also, many yatris will return home and be with their families after about 4 months.”

In the second phase, the yatra will re-enter Haryana from Uttar Pradesh at Sanoli Khurd in Panipat district on January 6.

As per media reports, the Bharat Jodo Yatra will reach Punjab in the first week of January and will cover most parts of the state for around 10 days, after which it will leave for Jammu & Kashmir.

According to Jairam Ramesh, yatris will reach Kashmir around January 30. Former J&K CM Farooq Abdulla will initiate the journey in Srinagar.
