Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the BJP’s role in transforming the state from a period of lawlessness under the Samajwadi Party (SP) to a model of development and good governance. Speaking at a job fair on Thursday, Adityanath criticized the previous SP government, highlighting the significant changes since the BJP came to power in 2017.

Transformation from Lawlessness to Development

Adityanath described how, before 2017, Uttar Pradesh struggled with its identity due to widespread anarchy and lawlessness. “Riots were common before every festival, and neither daughters nor businesses were safe. The state’s identity was tarnished by its lack of security and order,” he stated. He pointed out that many young people were forced to leave the state during that period, leading to a sense of crisis.

The Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognizing and addressing these challenges and urged voters to support the BJP, which he claimed has revitalized Uttar Pradesh. “Today, Uttar Pradesh stands as a model of development, good governance, and law and order,” Adityanath added.

Criticism of the Samajwadi Party

Adityanath took a direct swipe at the SP, criticizing its track record of governance. “The Samajwadi Party’s legacy was marked by lawlessness and a failure to ensure the safety of women and businesses,” he said, accusing the party of leaving the state in disarray.

Inauguration of Development Projects

During the event, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various developmental projects worth ₹745 crores, marking a significant investment in the district’s growth. Adityanath emphasized the commitment of the “double-engine government” of the BJP, working at both the state and national levels, to build a better present and future for the people of Uttar Pradesh.

Overall, Adityanath’s remarks underscored his government’s achievements and his ongoing commitment to development, while drawing sharp contrasts with the previous administration led by the Samajwadi Party.
