Ration card-digitisation complete

The Centre has completed the process of digitisation of ration cards, which will help make the Public Distribution System (PDS) leak-proof. Govt approves Rs 2,256 Cr for Project SAKSHAM

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the prime minister Narendra Modi has approved Rs 2,256 crore for ‘Project SAKSHAM’, a new indirect tax network (Systems Integration) of the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC). NTPC set to cross a new milestone by March

STATE-owned NTPC is all set to cross the milestone of over 50,000 MW installed power generation capacity by March-end 2017 with expected addition of over 4,630 MW. “The NTPC Group, including its joint ventures and other subsidiaries, will have over 50,000 MW of installed power generation capacity by the end of this fiscal,” a senior power ministry official told the media. Centre unveils connectivity scheme UDAN

The Centre has unveiled a regional connectivity scheme, known as UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik), with flights priced at Rs.2,500 for one hour of flying time to and from regional airports, but raised the subsidy amount to be paid to regional airlines from the level proposed in a draft scheme.
