o9 Solutions has launched a computer learning centre for the underprivileged children in Bengaluru. o9 Solutions partnered with India Cares Foundation (ICF) to set up this centre with 14 desktop computers and allied infrastructure for the children of an urban slum community with a population of over 700,000.

The initiative aims to provide access to basic and advanced computer education to the children belonging to low-income group families. o9 Solutions and India Cares Foundation worked with other social sector organizations such as Swabhimaan and Vidya India for the implementation of the project. o9 Solutions has been working actively in the areas of community welfare, education, and environmental protection.

The computer learning centre has started operations with 45 registrations for a three-month basic computing course, to be followed by an advanced computing course, including coding and programming. The centre will witness regular participation from o9 employees who will have an opportunity to interact with the children and teach them computing and soft skills.

While inaugurating the o9 Solutions’ Computer Learning Centre, Kannan Srinivasan, Vice President, Client Management, said, “Social Impact is one of the core values of o9 Solutions. The centre is a testament to our unwavering commitment to giving back to the society and empowering the local community. In a world driven by technology, computer education would give children a head start, enabling them to build their careers and excel in life.”
