Logitech through its Digi@भारत campaign empowers 100 schools

Logitech has initiated the drive of radial empowerment by providing 100 schools in Uttar Pradesh, Devanagiri enabled Hindi keyboards. Committed to bridge the digital divide in the country, Logitech through its Digi@भारत initiative, aims to help students cross linguistic barriers in the use and adoption of digital technologies.

Under the Digi@भारत campaign, students across the 100 schools in Uttar Pradesh will now have the ability to select Hindi as a language in their keyboard with the new Logitech MK235 Wireless Devanagari Keyboard Combo as well as the wired Devanagari keyboard K120.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Amarkanth Singh, Zila Block Shiksha Adhikari, Lucknow, Government of Uttar Pradesh, said, “We recognize the efforts of Logitech India through its distribution of Hindi keyboards to 100 schools under their Digi@भारत campaign. This is a landmark initiative to bridge the language barrier and empower Indian citizens, especially students, to partake in the Digital India program. We hope that such initiatives and partnerships continue in the future.”

 

Less than 10% of the Indian population considers English as one of their top three preferred languages. With the next billion digital adoption expected to happen with the help of native language, there is a need to come up with unique language solutions for the consumers. Students at the 100 beneficiary schools in Uttar Pradesh will now be able to seamlessly participate and take advantage of Government’s Digital India initiative which seeks to empower every citizen with access to digital services, knowledge and information.

 

Logitech’s Digi@भारत campaign is a first of its kind initiative aimed at connecting and empowering millions and bridging the digital divide in India. Broadly focussing at tele-education, tele-medicine and tele-justice as focal points, Digi@भारत campaign promotes the idea of inclusivity. It aims at promoting content creation coupled with consumption in regional languages.

 

Logitech K120 keyboard is available at an affordable price of INR 695/- with 3-year warranty while the Logitech MK235 Wireless Hindi Keyboard Combo (with mouse) is available for a suggested retail price of INR 1995/- with a 1-year warranty.
