Shalimar Paints has recently appointed Ashok Gupta as their MD. Gupta will also assume the post of the vice chairman for APL Apollo Tubes Limited. Earlier, Gupta was working with APL Apollo Tubes Limited as MD.
As MD, Gupta will oversee overall operations of the brand along with framing growth strategies of the brand.
With over three decades of experience, Gupta has held several top positions for companies like Jindal Industries, SAIL, Surya Roshni among others.
Established in 1902, Shalimar Paints has added glow to a few iconic buildings like Rashtrapati Bhavan, Salt Lake Stadium, Howrah Bridge, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
The company currently has two manufacturing units and a strong footprint across the country with over 3 ports and depots. Apart from India, Shalimar also caters to customers of Nepal, Bhutan, Dubai and Seychelles.
