OUP and Hope Kolkata Foundation to support digital literacy for girl students in Kolkata shelter home

Oxford University Press (OUP) has helped to set up a computer center within the premises of the Hope Kolkata Foundation run Kasba Girl’s shelter home in the city. The initiative will help girl students to become computer literate and digitally savvy.   The computer center will also be used by children residing in other Hope Foundation homes in Kolkata. Supreme Court to hear petition of Juhi Chawla against mobile tower radiation

Bollywood actor Juhi Chawla has submitted a petition wherein she has demanded tighter norms governing cell phone tower radiation. The Supreme Court has responded by accepting the actor’s plea and will now hear her petition in November, along with the pleas of five others. The petitions pertain to issues arising out of rampant illegal installation of the towers and antennae, and the absence of adequate laws and regulatory norms. World Vision India provides relief to flood affected districts in Kerala

World Vision India, a child focused humanitarian organization with expertise in disaster management, has begun relief work in two severely flood affected districts of Palakkad and Malappuram.
