Exit Polls 2023: India TV-CNX conducted Exit Poll surveys to predict which party will remain ahead in five states Assembly elections including Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Take a look at who has an edge region-wise in five states.
Exit Poll Result 2023: The Congress party is likely to retain power in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan while BJP is expected to sweep Madhya Pradesh with huge majority, predicted India TV-CNX Exit Poll. In Telangana, the Congress may unseat Chief Minister K Chandraskhar Rao’s ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) while Mizoram may witness a hung Assembly, the survey predicted. Assembly elections were held in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram
Chhattisgarh Exit Poll
In Chhattisgarh, a tough contest is expected between the ruling Congress and BJP. According to India TV-CNX Exit Poll, the Congress may get 46-56 seats, BJP is expected to win 30-40 seats while others are expected to win 3-5 seats. There are a total of 90 Assembly seats in the state.
The exit poll predicts that Bhupesh Baghel is likely to retain power in the state with majority. The survey also predicts that the saffron party will improve its 2018 tally.
Mizoram Exit Poll
In Mizoram which has a total of 40 Assembly seats, Zoramthanga’s Mizo National Front (MNF) is expected to emerge as the single-largest party and may win 14-18 seats. The Congress is likely to get 8-10 seats, Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) may win 12-16 while the BJP is predicted to get between 0-2 seats and other parties may not be able to open their accounts. The survey predicts a hung assembly in the state.
Telangana Exit Poll
In Telangana, the Congress party may upset the ruling K Chandrasekhar Rao’s BRS. According to India TV-CNX Exit Poll, the ‘Grand Old Party’ is likely to win 63-79 seats, BRS may get 31-47, BJP could win 2-4 seats and Asaduddin’s AIMIM is likely to win 5-7 seats. There are a total of 119 Assembly seats in Telangana.
Rajasthan Exit Poll
Rajasthan is likely to see a close contest between the ruling Congress and BJP. According to India TV-CNX Exit Poll, the Congress party may get 94-104 seats while BJP is expected to get 80-90 seats. The ‘Grand Old Party’ is likely to break the trend in the state (of not voting into power the existing party) and retain it. There are a total of 200 Assembly seats while the election was held on 199.
Madhya Pradesh Exit Poll
In contrast to the opinion poll surveys, the Exit Poll has predicted huge gains for the BJP in Madhya Pradesh. According to India TV-CNX Exit Poll, the saffron party is likely to retain the state and may win 140-159 seats, the Congress is expected to get restricted between 70-89 and others may get 0-2 seats. Madhya Pradesh has a total of 230 Assembly seats.
Voting in Mizoram concluded on November 7, Madhya Pradesh on November 17, Chhattisgarh voted in two phases on November 7 and 17, Rajasthan on November 25 and Telangana on November 30 (today). The counting of votes is scheduled for December 3. The outcome in these states, when counting will take place on December 3, will be crucial and determine the mood of the voters ahead of next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
