eClerx and NASSCOM Foundation have entered into partnership to launch the eClerx Employability Enhancement Programme. Under this programme, eClerx will provide specific job-related skills training in Analytics and CRM (Non-Voice) to 350 underserved youth and women so that they can gain exposure to better employability opportunities within the IT-BPM sector. The training will be provided across the suburban areas in the vicinity of Mumbai (like Thane, Navi Mumbai), Pune (like Ahmednagar, Pimpri, Chinchwad) and Chandigarh (like Ambala, Karnal).

Speaking on the same, NASSCOM Foundation’s CEO Shrikant Sinha said, “We are glad to partner with eClerx to train the youth from underserved communities on key skills and make them employment-ready for any IT-BPM company to hire – a win-win for both, the society and the industry. This partnership also is a great example of how CSR money can be used for the benefit of creating more employment opportunities for the ever-expanding young population of our country.”

Commention on the partnership, P. D. Mundhra, Co-Founder & Executive Director, eClerx, said, “Our partnership with the NASSCOM Foundation will facilitate students from underserved communities, in tier-2 and -3 colleges, to prepare themselves for the growing IT BPM industry. Aimed at creating a positive social impact, this initiative will equip aspiring applicants with new-age skills for fulfilling their career goals, while providing a new source of talent for our industry.”

As a part of this programme, eClerx will be training 150 underserved youth on CRM (Non-Voice) skill and 200 underserved youth on Analytics skill. The programme will adopt an on-campus mode of training delivery, where the NASSCOM Foundation and its training partners will work with select colleges in the target geographies to impart the training. In order to source the correct beneficiary profile, the programme will target tier-II and -III colleges. Training will be delivered in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) through a classroom training framework and instructor-led programme, which will equip the target beneficiaries with the SSC NASSCOM Qualification Pack for CRM Non-Voice QP 2211 and Associate Analytics QP 2101.

Apart from the technical-knowledge-related curriculum, the programme will also train beneficiaries on life skills, basics of computer literacy and functional English skills, essentials such as oral and written communication, business etiquette, problem solving, time management, customer orientation, interview skills, and other soft skills enabling them to find employment across the IT-BPM industry.

Upon successful assessment and completion, participants will also receive certificates from eClerx, NASSCOM IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council, and NASSCOM Foundation. The Foundation and its training partners will also extend support for suitable employment opportunities to the participants through placement drives and job fairs.
